IMPORTANT INFO ON SENDING TAX PAYMENTS BY MAIL:
Town and County tax payments are currently being accepted and are due without a penalty through Monday, Feb. 2. Payments sent
by mail will be accepted without a penalty as long as they are postmarked by Feb.2.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to changes in USPS processing,your envelope may not be postmarked on the day that you put it in the mail. In
order to ensure that your check arrives on time,it is recommended that you take it into a post office and ask for it to be hand-
stamped.
Payments can also be dropped off in person,left in the drop box,or paid online(for a fee).View or pay your bill online at

FREE FIREARMS TRAINING:
Trumansburg Fish&Game Club is offering one-on-one firearms instruction to introduce residents to safe handling,use and
maintenance of shotguns and small bore rifles.Shotguns and.22 rimfire rifles will also be discussed.The program will take place with
the help of funds received through the Town of Ulysses Community Funding cycle.

FREE CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION CLASS:
Moms PLUS+is a Tompkins County Whole Health program open to county residents.A childbirth education class will take place on 3
Wednesdays,February 4,11,and 18,from 6-8:30 p.m.,at the Cayuga Medical Center(CIVIC) Birthplace(101 Dates Drive, Ithaca). It is
geared toward those with a due date in March or April and will cover the following topics:
• Labor and delivery
• Relaxation techniques
• Medication Options
• Creating your birth plan
• Newborn care
• Breastfeeding
One support person may attend with the pregnant person.Space is limited-register here. Please call 607-274-6604 for more
information.

Gov. Hochul delivered the 2026 State of the State address on Tuesday,Jan. 13, highlighting priorities of universal child care,
affordability,safer communities, protecting kids online, housing&infrastructure,and fundamental rights.View address on Youtube.

Toss it?No way! Bring your broken belongings or ripped clothing to the library on Saturday,Jan.24 from 10am-2pm and get paired
with an expert who will coach you on how to repair your item.Tools and equipment provided!
What can you bring?Clothing,stuffed animals,jewelry or small electronics(ex: lamps,toasters, radios)that need repair.We'll let you
know if the job is bigger than what we can handle,and refer to you a local business for repair.
Some types of items not accepted (ex: phones, laptops,dirty or dangerous items).To ask questions,email Laura at

No registration-all are welcome!

VILLAGE ELECTIONS:
Village of Trumansburg elections will be held on Wed., March 18 from 12 noon to 9pm at the Village of Trumansburg meeting room.
Offices to be filled:
• Mayor(1 seat)
• Trustee(2 seats)
Both Democrat and Republican parties select candidates through a caucus. Independents must collect signatures on petitions. For

The Ulysses Democratic Committee(UDC)will hold a nominating caucus on Sunday,Jan.25 at 2pm to determine who will run on
Democratic lines.Anyone interested in running should contact Cynthia Mannino, UDC Chair,at cynthiam.udc(@gmail.com,and plan
to attend the caucus.
(NOTE-at this time there does not appear to be a Ulysses Republican Committee. If anyone has information on this,please let me
know so that information for all parties can be shared.)
