VILLAGE ELECTIONS:
Village of Trumansburg elections will be held on Wed., March 18 from 12 noon to 9pm at the Village of
Trumansburg meeting room.
Offices to be filled:
• Mayor (1 seat)
• Trustee (2 seats)
Both Democrat and Republican parties select candidates through a caucus.
Independents must collect signatures on petitions. For more details, visit

The Ulysses Democratic Committee (UDC) will hold a nominating caucus on Sunday, Jan. 25 at 2pm to
determine who will run on Democratic lines. Anyone who is interested in running as a Democrat should
contact Cynthia Mannino, UDC Chair, at cynthiam.udc@gmail.com, and plan to attend the caucus.
(NOTE- at this time there does not appear to be a Ulysses Republican Committee. If anyone has
information on this, please let me know so that information can be shared as well.)

The Trumansburg Food Pantry is available for anyone who needs a hand stocking the fridge next week. It
will be open on Monday,Jan. 12 from 3:30-6pm at the Trumansburg Methodist Church.
Everyone is welcome-there are no residency or financial requirements. Whether you are a senior
stretching a fixed income, a working family facing high heating bills, or just need a hand this month.
Due to record demand, the pantry is seeking donations to help ensure our neighbors have warm meals
during the cold weather.

TOMPKINS COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE LAUNCHES NEW ONLINE RECORDS SEARCH PLATFORM WITH
FRAUD ALERT FEATURE:
The Tompkins County Clerk's Office is pleased to announce the launch of a new, modernized online
records search platform that provides the public with improved access to land records and a new and
free Fraud Alert feature designed to help protect property owners from real estate fraud.
The new search site is now live and can be accessed directly
at: https://tompkins.ny.publicsearch.us/. This platform offers a user-friendly experience, enhanced
search capabilities, and expanded security tools for the public.
Protecting property owners with fraud alerts
A key feature of the new system is Property Fraud Alert, a free notification service that alerts users if a
document is recorded in the Tompkins County Clerk's Office under their name or property. Fraud alerts
can help property owners identify potentially fraudulent activity early and take appropriate action.
Property fraud is a growing concern nationwide. While the County Clerk's Office records documents as
presented by law and cannot verify their legitimacy, this alert system provides an important early
warning tool for residents. Learn more about Property Fraud Alert on the county website.
How to Sign Up
Signing up for fraud alerts is quick, easy, and free. Property owners and residents can follow step-by-step
instructions using the guide on the county website. Users may register multiple names and properties
and can choose to receive alerts by email or phone.
Accessing the County Clerk online
The new search platform is also accessible through the Tompkins County Clerk's website. In addition to
online records access, the County Clerk's Office continues to provide in-person assistance, recording
services, and customer support.

Over 200 inspections conducted statewide resulted in suspensions, revocations, and fines.
A business that is promoting itself as a 'med spa' or offering 'med spa' services MUST be licensed as a
medical facility and licensed professionals must be performing the services.

SAVE THE DATE -VILLAGE YARD SALE
The annual Village of Trumansburg Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Residents wishing to
be included in the map of participating addresses, or to apply for a rented table space at the Farmer's
Market, can sign up beginning in February.
2026 TOWN & COUNTY TAXES:
2026 Town & County tax bills are due without a penalty by February 2, 2026 (since January 31 falls on a
