Members present: Matt Ulinski (chair), Joel Gagnon, Ruth Sherman, Bill
Evans, Don Schaufler, Mary Woodsen, Dan Klein

Joel moved, Bill seconded approving April minutes
All in favor, Don abstained
Ruth and Bill were at the first Natural Resource Inventory
Subcommittee meeting. CJ has done a lot of work already.
Easement template update: Joel received comments from Guy Krogh,
but could not open the attachment. He will work on getting it to open
properly.
Matt reported that he will probably present to Danby Seniors about
easements in the Fall.
The Town Board approved our expenditure of $40 for the rack card.
The Town Board is reviewing whether we need to get approval or not in
the future for expenditures.
Management Plan for West Danby Water District – Don and Joel are
working on it.
Tree and Bird Call walk last weekend – about a dozen people came.
Mary will be doing a Tick Talk in Danby. Mary pointed out that
fragmented habitat increases tick populations.
We discussed the idea of asking the Park Foundation for money to help
with conservation easements for those landowners who don’t have the
money to pay for the incidental costs involved in securing an easement.
We discussed setting up a Facebook page. We should only do it if we
can actively manage it. We are not sure if it would reach who we want
and if it makes sense to use something like Facebook to reach people
only in Danby. However, there is no cost and doesn’t take much to set
up.
