Please accept this letter and my resume as a response to the RF'p for the Labor andEmployment Law Attorney.
Since 1998, my firm has represented the Village of Cayuga Heights in its labor and
employment matters. As you know, Laurie Johnston headed MiG. Maler,s Labor and
Employment practice group for many years. In late 2O:.5, Laurie transitioned the bulk of her
labor and employment work to me. Laurie and I maintain an excellent professional relationship,
and she remains a valued mentor of mine. She is also happy to provide a reference for me.
Prior to joining Miller Mayer, I worked as an associate attorney at the Elmira law firm of
Sayles & Evans. During my time atthatfirm, I assisted with a variety of employment law
matters, including a sexual harassment investigation for a public employer, clrafting policy
manuals for libraries, and I completed numerous research projects on public and private

employment issues such as discrimination, public employee discipline procedure, collective
bargaining issues, and wage and hour issues.
Since Laurie's departure and my assumption of her practice, I have continued to assistpublic and private clients with a variety of employment issues including wage and hour
questions, discrimination issues, and compliance with regulatory requirements such as FMLA
and HIPAA. My clients will tell you that I am prompt and thoroughln my responses. Should yog
