Minutes of Regular Meeting July 28, 2014

The Meeting was opened at 7:05 pm
June Minutes:
Joel sent changes in a draft to Matt. These included meeting (current and next) date changes. Dan
noted he was not the Town Board Rep. Changes noted and made. Joel moved to approve, Jake seconded.
All approved
Executive Session
Joel moved to go into executive session to discuss easements under review. Jake seconded. All
Approved.
Motion
Mary moved to accept the Palmer/DeMark Easement with additions and changes as discussed in
Executive Session and send to the Town Attorney for review and then to Town Board for approval . Dan
Seconded. All approved.
Motion
Jake moved to accept the Melchen easement as drafted with the additions and changes as discussed in
Executive Session and forward to the Town Board for approval. Mary Seconded. Dan – No. (there is no
specification for how long someone can live in the hunting cabin), Jake, Matt, Joel, Mary – Yes. Approved.
Hanson Easement
Signing ceremony 11AM Wednesday 7-30-2014 at Town Hall. Joel wrote up press release which was
reviewed at meeting.
Deputron Hollow
Survey shows 10 acres of land that belongs to the Town on north side of the road. Need management
plan for town-owned property. There was a discussion of what the unique values of the property were and
how it might (or might not) fit into a larger plan for Deputron Hollow. It was recommended that the
property be left as is, with the intention to manage as old growth and reassess with a broader vison for the
hollow at a later time.

Further discussion was about the property on the south side. This parcel was not surveyed. Joel
recommended we wait until current easements are finalized before approaching the landholder to see if an
easement could be exchanged for clearing up property ownership issue.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
The next meeting is on August 25, 2014 at 7:00PM.
