Others: Kirk Sigel (owner) … 223 Highgate Rd. Bert Fortner (Ernie Bayles architect) … 10 Old School Rd., Lansing Chairman Cisne opens meeting at 7:08. Begins meeting with explanation of how the meeting will run. Kirk Sigel wants to make his 1.5 story house into a 2 story house, changing it from 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, to 5 bedrooms, 3 baths. He explained and showed pictures to the effect that the 7-8 foot height addition will not be seen from the front of the house because it will be added to the bottom of the house where the basement is. Mr. Sigel has a signed statement of support from all of his adjacent neighbors. Brent Cross stated that there were no other variance worries with the lot. 7:16 - Closed public portion of the meeting. Bob Powers and Robin Cisne feel that the matter is straight forward. Bob feels that 25’ is lower than others at 30’. Bob is in favor of the variance, and Robin agrees. MOVE to approve petition for variance to allow Mr. Sigel to make his 1.5 story house into a 2 story house at 223 Highgate Road. Seconded by Joe Petrillose. All in favor – motion carries unanimously. APPROVED by Robin Cisne, Bob Powers, Joe Petrillose. 7:20 – Meeting is closed.
