Others: Marilyn Mazza, 106 Cambridge Place, June and Bob Silberman, 111 Warwick Place, Robert L. Harris, Jr., 102 Burleigh Drive, Locksley Edmondson, 110 Cambridge Place, Barry Strauss, 102 Cambridge Place. Chairwoman Cisne opened the meeting with an introduction and an explanation of how the meeting is run. Marilyn Mazza is here to request an addition to her home at 106 Cambridge Place for her 86 year old mother. The addition would consist of a living room, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, and would share the electricity with the main house. The apartment would be located at the rear of the garage and would not obstruct other neighbor’s views. The front entrance to the apartment would be next to the garage and would be secluded by trees. She has submitted pictures of the area for the board and neighbors to view. Bob Harris asked if it was a two car garage, and wanted to know how she would access the entrance. Mrs. Mazza replied that she would access it from a walkway along the side of the garage. Mr. Harris asked if this could become a rental property. Brent Cross said that it could only become a rental property with the issue of a building permit, not just a hearing. Therefore, it will remain a one family home on the tax roll. Locksley, the closest neighbor, is in favor of the building. At 7:15, the public portion of the hearing was closed. Ken Robinson does not feel like the addition changes the character of the neighborhood. Peter feels like it is a case that came about from practical difficulties and hardships. There were no objections from Joe Petrillose or Bob Powers. Motion by Ken Robinson MOVE to grant a variance allowing Mrs. Mazza to build an addition on her house at 106 Cambridge Place for her mother, with a provision of review by the Zoning Board of Appeals should the owner wish to convert the addition into a rental property. Seconded by Peter McClelland APPROVED by Robin Cisne, Bob Powers, Peter McClelland, Ken Robinson, and Joe Petrillose. Meeting was closed by Robin Cisne at 7:22 pm.
