Dear Mayor Gilmore and Village Trustees:
I am writing to volunteer for a position on the Village of Cayuga Heights
ZoningBoard of Appeals. My wife and I have been residents of Cayuga
Heights since 1996 and our two sons both attend Cayuga Heights
Elementary School. I work from home as a software engineer.
I have been a member of the Town of Ithaca Zonrng Board of Appeals since
1998 and have been chairman of that board since 200I. I have also been a
member of the Town of Ithaca Codes and Ordinances Committee since
2001. Since becoming a Town ZBA member I have attended many classes
and seminars on zoning and planning, and have twice attended the New
York Planning Federation's annual multi-day conference. In my 11* years
on the Town Zoning Board I have deliberated, debated, and voted on
hundreds of appeals.
Based on my training and experience, I believe that I could serve the Village
well as aZBA member. Please do not hesitate to contact me by email or
