Materials for this meeting are enclosed. ,AGENDA 1)Trinity Lutheran Church -parking lot expansion 2)Ithaca College -expansion and relocation of IC compost facilities cc: Eva Hoffman Geri Tierney Phil Zarriello Richard Fischer Town of Ithaca Planning Department Memorandum To Environmental Review Committee From: Susan Ritter Date: September 11, 1998 Re: Development Application Subject to Conservation Board Review Enclosed for review by the Conservation Board, per the requirements of Local Law No. 4 of 1993, are materials for the following application before the Town of Ithaca Planning Board: Project No.: 98-09-287 Description: Consideration of Preliminary and Final Site Plan Approval and Recommendation to the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding Special Approval to relocate and build a new compost facility and to increase the composting capacity from 400 tons of food scraps per year to 500 tons/year. The proposed facility will consist of a 60' x 100' pole barn with a concrete floor, a 50' x 100' concrete pad outside of the building, and a 30' x 40' control room attached to the southwest comer of the compost facility. The new location is close to the access drive, and close to where the College presently stores grass clippings. The new facility will be capable of handling the increased composting capacity and will provide improved ventilation. The site is located in the Town of Ithaca, Tax Parcel No. 41-1-11, Residence District R-30. Ithaca College, owner/applicant; Mark Darling (Ithaca College) and Lew Durland (Sear-Brown Group), Agents. The action referenced above is tentatively scheduled for Planning Board consideration at a public hearing on,Qctober 6, 1998.1 Materials describing the proposal are attached, Attachments Town of Ithaca Planning Department Memorandum To: Environmental Review Committee Date: September 11, 1998 Re: Development Application Subject to Conservation Board Review Enclosed for review by the Conservation Board, per the requirements of Local Law No. 4 of 1993, are materials for the following application before the Town of Ithaca Planning Board: Project No.: 98-08-284 Description: Consideration of Preliminary and Final Site Plan Approval, and Recommendation to the Zoning Board of Appeals regarding Special Approval for the construction of 50 additional parking spaces and an access lane on an unused tract adjacent to the church and toward the Grandview Development. The project will also include repavement of the existing 60 car parking lot, installation of curbs and lighting, and stormwater drainage to be tied into Honness Lane and Westview Lane storm drains. The site is located within the Town of Ithaca, Tax Parcel No. 58-2-4, Residence District R-15. Trinity Lutheran Church, Owner/Applicant; T.G. Miller PC, Engineers& Surveyors, Agents.
