SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – NOVEMBER 7, 2013
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
November 7th at 7:00 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of this
memo). The draft minutes from the October 3, 2013 meeting are attached.
At this meeting we will continue the discussions related to water conservation efforts (copy
of 10/17/13 email from James attached) and the pest management policy.
As you know, the CB will have two vacancies as of the start of the year. I have put
together a brief announcement that has been sent to several local people / organizations
to try and target someone with some environmental background or knowledge. We can
also do a general press release soon, if we don’t get any responses from the initial
announcement. Please encourage anyone interested to attend a meeting or contact me
for more information. Also, please be thinking about the CB Chair for 2014, as Kristine
announced in October that she does not plan on continuing as Chair next year.
I believe that Susan has signed up to take the minutes at the November meeting.
