SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – SEPT. 3, 2015
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
September 3rd at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of
this memo). The draft minutes from the July 2, 2015 and August 6, 2015 meetings are
attached.
At this meeting we will continue the discussion of deer management and pest
management policy research. As part of this, we will continue to discuss having Bernd
Blossey (Cornell University, Department of Natural Resources) at a future CB meeting
to help lead a discussion on possible deer management ideas for the Town of Ithaca.
We will also see if anyone has any updates regarding the idea of working with local high
school groups on invasive species eradication efforts.
I have also attached a copy of the “Conservation Board 2015 Work Goals” to help with
item #9.
Mike Roberts has volunteered to take minutes at the September meeting.
