SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – JUNE 4, 2015
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
June 4th at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of this
memo). The draft minutes from the May 7, 2015 meeting were not available to include
in the mail out, but if I receive them prior to the meeting I will email them to everyone.
At this meeting we will start with a discussion on long term water planning for the Ithaca
area. Mara Alper (Associate Professor, Media Arts, Sciences and Studies, Ithaca
College) will be attending the meeting to help lead this discussion.
We will also discuss ideas to see if the CB would like to host another event this summer
as part of the NY Invasive Species Awareness Week (July 12 – 18). As you will recall,
last year the CB hosted a Swallow-wort education and pulling event at the Town’s East
Ithaca Nature Preserve. More information about the ISAW can be found at:

Vladimir has volunteered to take minutes at the June meeting.
