SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – APRIL 7, 2016
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
April 7th at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of this
memo). The draft minutes from the March 3, 2016 meeting are attached.
At this meeting we will need to start planning for the Fischer Award tree planting
ceremony to honor the Cayuga Nature Center Summer Camp program. The tree
planting will take place on the East Ithaca Recreation Way, just north of Honness Lane.
There is an existing bench at the site, which could use a tree after the woody invasives
have recently been removed from the area.
We will also spend some time continuing the discussion on deer management and
ideas for setting up the ad-hoc committee. I have included in the packet a copy of the
February 22, 2016 Town Board minutes where the deer management was discussed.
James has signed up to take minutes at the April meeting.
