Fischer Environmental Award to the Black Diamond Trail Enthusiasts Network and held the associated tree planting ceremony in Cass Park at the Black Diamond Trail entrance;  Environmental Review Committee continued to provide comments for site plan and subdivision projects;  Scenic Resources Committee completed the design and ordered the scenic view sign for Longview’s Danby Road location;  Continued to discuss deer management ideas for the Town and presented the Deer Management report to the Town Board;  Continued to update and monitor the Conservation Board Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/IthacaConservationBoard);  Refurbished at least 25 bluebird boxes along the South Hill and East Ithaca Recreation Ways and in Eastern heights Park;  Participated in an Earth Day event (set up table) as part of the Sustainable Tompkins event;  Invited guests to various meetings to discuss topics such as the Town’s Tree Inventory project (Lance Ebel, Newleaf Environmental LLC), the Town’s tree cutting and pruning practices (Rich Schoch, Town’s Parks Maintenance Manager), the West Hill Wildway (Andy Zepp, Finger Lakes Land Trust), sustainability at Ithaca College (Greg Lischke, Director of Energy Management & Sustainability), and climate change resources (Ingrid Zabel, NY Climate Change Science Clearinghouse).
