SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – AUGUST 3, 2017
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
August 3rd at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of this
memo). The draft minutes from the June 1, 2017 meeting were not available to include
in the packet.
At this meeting we will have Rich Schoch, the Town’s Parks Maintenance Manager, join
us to discuss the Town’s tree cutting and pruning practices. This topic was raised a
couple months ago by a resident on Culver Road, and it was suggested that the CB
discuss these practices as they are applied along Town roads.
We will also have an update on deer management and the continued discussion at the
July 10th Town Board meeting. The Town Board has started to establish a Citizen
Advisory Committee on Deer Management, with three Town Board members agreeing
to serve on the committee. They have asked for a representative from the Conservation
Board to also serve on the committee, so the CB will need to discuss who is interested
in participating.
We will need a volunteer to take minutes at the August meeting.
