SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – JANUARY 5, 2017
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
January 5th at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of this
memo). The draft minutes from the November 3, 2016 and the December 1, 2016
meetings were not available to include in the packet.
At this meeting we will take some time to discuss the CB’s activities & accomplishments
from 2016, the 2017 work goals, and committee assignments for 2017. Please review
the activities and accomplishments from 2016 and let me know if you have any
additions or modifications. Included in the materials is the draft 2017 work goals which
the CB will need to review and discuss what changes are necessary for 2017. Also
attached is the draft committee list for 2017. Please review this list and be thinking
about what changes you would like to see for 2017. I tried to add a brief list of the types
of projects and activities that each committee is working on, to hopefully help as
members are considering joining different groups.
We will also continue the discussion regarding the maintenance of bluebird houses at
Town facilities and have any update from the ad hoc deer management committee.
The CB will also need to nominate and elect the 2017 Vice Chairperson, which was not
done at the December meeting.
We will need a volunteer to take minutes at the January meeting. I will bring a new
sign-up sheet for the 2017 minutes.
