SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – March 1, 2018
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
March 1st at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of this
memo). The draft minutes from the June 1, 2017 and January 4, 2018 meetings were
not available to include in the packet. The draft minutes from the February 1, 2018
meeting are attached.
At this meeting we will finalize the 2018 Work Goals and supporting action items. A
copy of the 02/05/18 version that was originally emailed is attached.
We will also need to spend some time reviewing the nominations for the 2017 Richard
Fischer Environmental Conservation Award, and select one. As of right now, we have
received two nominations – Tony Ingraham/Liz Bauman and Mark Whitmore. Attached
are the two email nominations along with a couple other supporting/background items I
found online. A google search of their names also provides additional information on
both nominees. These are the only two formal nominations received, with the deadline
being February 28th. I will email everyone if any additional nominations come in before
the meeting.
There was some interest expressed again about organizing an Earth Day (April 22nd)
activity or table. The CB will need to discuss options and see what events are being
planned in the area.
Lindsay has signed up to take minutes at the March meeting.
