SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – MARCH 7, 2019
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
March 7th at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of this
memo). The draft minutes from November 1, 2018, December 6, 2018 and February 7,
2019 are attached.
At this meeting we will finalize the 2019 Work Goals. A copy of the 02/27/19 version is
attached.
We will also need to spend some time reviewing the nominations for the 2018 Richard
Fischer Environmental Conservation Award, and select one. As of right now, we have
only received one nomination, the New York State Hemlock Initiative. Attached is a
copy of the email nomination from James. I will email everyone if any additional
nominations come in before the meeting.
There has been continued interest expressed about organizing an Earth Day (April 22nd)
activity or table. The CB will need to start discussing options and see what events are
being planned in the area.
As mentioned at the last meeting, Will is planning to provide a brief training on the CB’s
Facebook page and the type of topics to post. If he has any material to provide prior to
the meeting, I will email that out to everyone.
Elizabeth has signed up to take minutes at the March meeting.
