SUBJECT: UPCOMING CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING – JULY 2, 2020
This is to confirm that the next meeting of the Conservation Board (CB) is Thursday,
July 2nd at 5:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is enclosed (see the back of this
memo). The draft minutes from the June 4, 2020 meeting were not available to include
in the packet.
This CB meeting will be conducted through the video conferencing website Zoom
(https://zoom.us/). The instructions and Meeting ID for connecting are on the top of the
attached agenda and I will also email everyone a separate invitation with a direct link for
the meeting.
At this meeting we will have a brief discussion of the invasive species event on
Facebook as part of the NY Invasive Species Awareness Week. Attached is a sheet
with several tables and charts from Facebook showing the increased activity during that
week. For those that participated or viewed the Facebook page, please think about
positives, negatives, and things to do differently next time, and if this type of event is
something to plan in the future.
Also at this meeting we will continue the discussion about the use of compostable or
biodegradable take out containers.
Eva has signed up to take minutes at the July meeting.

Because of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Town of Ithaca Conservation Board Meeting
scheduled for July 2, 2020 will be held electronically via Zoom, instead of a public meeting open for
the public to attend in person. Members of the public may listen to (call in on cell or landline: (929)
