Anderson Members of the Board of Trustees ..Village of ,Cayuga Heights SUBJBCT: Report of the Police Department for.February 1990, THb.Poliee Department handled 72 complaints and investigated 7 motor vehicle accidents during the month. There were 101 traffic tickets issued and 58 parking tickets issued during the month. :There were,two felony complaints: one for burglary and one for grand larceny of a motor vehicle. There were thirteen misdemeanor. complaints: five for petit larceny, four for bad checks, two for criminal trespass and two for aggravated harassment. There were fifty -seven miscellaneous complaints investigated by the Police Department. A 23year old male was arrested for driving while intoxicated as a felony. His license was also suspended for a previous alcohol related offense which makes this charge a felony as well. Two juveniles were apprehended for violation of the Village Curfew., One juvenile was apprehended for,being in Sunset Park after hours and possession of an alcoholic beverage: The.Police Department was involved.with.the New York State Police and Tompkins County Sheriff's Department,in'the investigation of a stolen car ring operating in the Ithaca, Johnson City and Syracuse areas. Four. youths were apprehended by the New.YOrk State Police and all stolen vehicles were recovered as well.as,several thousand dollars .of stolen property was recovered. There was a.,total of,$4,202.:OO,in property reported lost or stolen .during the rhonth and.::$2,3,16.41'; was . recovere'd by the Police Department.
