HomeMy WebLinkAboutLL 04 of 2003 Repeal Electrical Code (LL 3 of 1978)LOCAL LAW NO. 4 OF 2003 A LOCAL LAW REPEALING LOCAL LAW NUMBER 3 OF THE YEAR 1978 INSTTTUTING AN ELECTRICAL CODE FOR THE TOWN OF ITHACA Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows: Section 1. Local Law Number 3 of the year 1978 adopted by the Town Board on December 11, 1978 instituting an electrical code for the Town of Ithaca is hereby repealed, as the construction of electrical components and systems are now governed by the Building Code of the State of New York, which incorporates the National Electric Code as the standard for construction and installation of electrical wiring, systems, and components. Section 2. If any provision of this law is found invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect any other provisions of this local law which shall remain in full force and effect. Section 3. This local law shall take effect upon its filing with the Secretary of State of the State of New York.
