DRAINAcE: Since the basic road cross-section has open ditches,
sometimes the Village is requested to install underground storm sewer
pipes along the edge of the road. The policy is that the DPW will provide
the labor and equipment at no charge if the homeowner purchases all of
the materials to do the job. Estimates can be provided as well as a list of
vendors who can supply the materials. This work is subject to approval by
the Village Engineer and may not always be available depending on the
work load of the DPW crew at the time of request.
DRIVEWAYS: lt is the homeowner's responsibility to construct and
maintain his/her own driveway. This includes the part that is in the ROW
up to the edge of the road pavement. The Dpw is available, at no charge,
to clean or replace culvert pipes under driveways, provided that the
property owner purchases all of the materials.
