re are writing to appeal the 5% penalty added to our tax bill this month. The late payment of
xes was simply a matter of poor circumstances in June. We paid off the mortgage on June 17

had any taxes currently due, but the representative was not knowlegeable on the matter andrhaps handling too many tasks at work to be able to properly search any existing liability on the
crow account when they closed it. On that date, they must have had the Village tax statement

n rule on such an appeal and refund the penalty fee if decided in our favor and she reminded
that we must pay the tax bill by July 31 to avoid the additio nal 1o/o penalty fee. Thus, the tax
yment is enclosed, including the 5% fee.
