Consent MEETING OF THE ITHACA TOWN BOARD Thursday, October 6, 2022 TB Resolution No. 2022-XXX: Approval of 2023 Proposed Elected Officials Salaries Be it Resolved; the governing Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby approve the below proposed salaries for the elected officials for the year 2023; TOWN SUPERVISOR $ 78,930 (Paid Biweekly) (includes Town Supervisor pay and 80% percentage of Supervisor's Administrative Function pay) DEPUTY TOWN SUPERVISOR $ 27,176 (Paid Biweekly) (includes Board Member pay and 20% percentage of Supervisor's Administrative Function Pay) TOWN BOARD MEMBER (5) $ 16,412 Each (Paid Biweekly) TOWN JUSTICE (2) $ 27,252 Each (Paid Biweekly) RESOLVED further, the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish the said proposed salaries as required by Section 108 of the Town Law. Moved Vote: Ayes: Seconded: MEETING OF THE ITHACA TOWN BOARD Thursday, October 6, 2022 TB Resolution No. 2021-xx: Acknowledge Southern Cayuga Lake Intermunicipal Water Commission 2023 Wage Scale and Employee Wages Whereas, the Commission on October 6, 2022, approved the 2023 Wage Scale and Wages for all Commission staff, now, therefore, be Resolved, the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby acknowledge the 2023 Wage Scale and Wages for all Commission staff as filed in the Human Resources Office for payroll services and civil service payroll certification. Moved: Seconded Vote: MEETING OF THE ITHACA TOWN BOARD Thursday, October 6, 2022 TB Resolution No. 2022-xx: Acknowledge Greater Tompkins Co Municipal Health Insurance Consortium Wage Scale and Employee Wages for 2023 Whereas, the Town of Ithaca was established as the `Employer of Record" for the Greater Tompkins County Municipal Health Insurance Consortium (Consortium); and Whereas, on August 3, 2022, the Executive Committee of the Consortium approved of the creation of a Job Classification and Wage Scale program and approved of the 2023 employee wage scale with a 3% cost of living increase; and Whereas, on September 22, 2022, the Board of Directors of the Consortium approved of the 2023 budget which included the wages for the staff based on step increases for 2023; now, therefore, be it Resolved, the governing Town Board of the Town of Ithaca does hereby acknowledge the Consortium's 2023 wages as detailed in the Human Resources Office for payroll services and civil service payroll certification. Moved Vote Seconded: MEETING OF THE ITHACA TOWN BOARD Monday, September 26, 2022 TB Resolution 2022 - XXX: Authorization to award and execute contract for the Town of Ithaca Ridgecrest Road Water Improvement Project Whereas on September 01, 2022, the Town of Ithaca Director of Engineering received bids for the Town of Ithaca Ridgecrest Road Water Improvement Project (Improvement), for the construction of approximately 1950 LF of 12-inch and 540 LF of 8-inch ductile iron water main, a booster pump station, a precast concrete control building, and associated appurtenances and other related ancillary facilities, furnishings, incidental improvements and expenses in connection therewith, and Whereas the Director of Engineering (Director) has reviewed the bids and qualifications of the bidders and has determined that the lowest responsive bid of $1,1.47,000.00 for the project was made by the lowest responsive bidder, F.P. Kane, Inc., 241 Front Street, Vestal, NY, and Whereas at their meeting on March 14, 2022, the Town Board adopted a Public Interest Order (TB 2022-031) establishing the Improvement and authorizing a maximum amount of $1,096,365.00 to be expended on this Improvement, and Whereas at their meeting on September 26, 2022, the Town Board adopted a revised Public Interest Order (TB 2022-XXX) increasing the maximum amount to be expended for this project from $1,096,365.00 to $1,261,700.00 with the entire project funded by Grants -in -Aid, now therefore be it Resolved that the Town Board authorizes the Town Supervisor to award and execute the contract for the Town of Ithaca Ridgecrest Road Water Improvement project to F.P. Kane, Inc., subject to final approval by the Director and the Attorney for the Town, and be it further Resolved that the Director is authorized to approve change orders to the contract, without further authorization of this Board, provided that the maximum amount of such change orders does not exceed $11.4,700.00 in aggregate and the total project cost, including the contract, engineering, legal and other expenses, does not exceed the maximum authorized cost of the project of $1,261,700.00.
