They the same as the one we tested and the cost was the same. They primarily use them for the traffic d collection and secondarily for speed deterrent. The village of LansinE has a different , which is smaller in size and made for a more pregnant mount. Their primary use is for speed deterrent different device (see attachment) again primarily data collection is secondary. They are looking at a speed deterrent. lt again would be a permanent mount and for this reason Lansing prefers the S lar charges. I think we have address the concerns at Hansh portable Speed/Traffic devices. They can be q & The Parkway and in my opinion, prefer the more moved and utilized. They do require a little more work setting up (need lap top to change para rs) but can be placed through out the village' lf you have any questions please just contact Jim Here is the information I was asked to follow up dn after the August 24,2011 DPW Committee Meeting; 1- Crosswalk/Sidewalk @ Hanshaw Road a4d The Parkway Contacted Jim Ellis, fiuperintendent of Tranpportation for the ICSD and discussed our concerns' We met and look at the area of concern. On 09/05/2011 Ellis contacted me and stated the bus will now make two stops, one on each sicle of The Parkway. This will allow the kids to get off the bus on either side of Hanshaw Road. 091061201r WW I Froposal For: Lansing Village Public Works John Courtney 2405 N Triphammer Road Ithaca, NY 14850 USA Quote # lssue Date: Quote ExBiir,es; Fax: Paoes: Ernail': KCBQ6174 03123110 05t22t10 607-257-3230 6 dpw@vlansing.org R-irle 1 alY 1 Description The RU2 Fast 350 is a permanent or semi-permanent mounted radar speed $3,395.00 sign featuring two 18" full matrix characters. Program algorithms filter and analyze the data strdam, detecting discrete oncoming vehicles tFrat pass the trailer, and record$ their speed with time and date stamps. Please note that single gun methodologies are situationally sensitive but can provide data as accurate as any pneumatic method. Single gun technology is perfelctly suited for determining peak load times and violation concentrertions giviing law enforcement agencies sufficient data for resource deploymernt. Plear;e note that some system configurations may require external hardware containment at additional cost. The data is saved on a SD memory card (10M+ vehicle capacity) and can be can then be analpled by software of accepting a comma delimited ASCII text file, such as Microsof@ or RU2's Traffic Count software -$100.00 $2,200.00 $795.00 package, included.
