REPORT BY DEPARTMENT:
1. PUBLIC WORKS
a. Street System: We had a crew painting, crosswalks, stop lines and arrows
around the Village. The road sweeping company was here and finished
sweeping the roads. We did a lot of ditching on Winthrop Drive and we
have a lot more to do. A crew has bee cutting brush around signs and for
clearance on the roads.
b. Storm Water System: We repaired two catch basins on the corner of
Berkshire and Cayuga Heights Road. We continue to clean catch basins..
c. Water System: The Parkway sewer line project has been put on hold for
now.
d. Sewer System: We are going to flush several sewer lines this month
where there is trouble spots in the lines.
e. Solid Waste: The brush is still very heavy and takes 6 men two or three
days to pick it up.
f. Equipment: DPW Fuel Consumption for the month: Gas = $2.72
Diesel = $409.70
g. Buildings and Grounds: No report
h. Personnel: Dave Lanning is still our on Workers Comp. I will be retiring
on August 30th..
i. Safety: No Report.
