RE: Volunteer Company Appropriations Agreement

At the regular meeting of the Board of Fire Commissioners held on December 9, 1997,
Board members asked that the Volunteer Companies be reminded of the following:
Agreement dated 09 JUN 97, Section 11) on page 4 states (in part):
Each Company must submit to the Board of Fire Commissioners:
- names, addresses, and phone numbers of all company officers;
- copies of articles of incorporation (if any) and its tax exempt identification number
(if any).
This information should be submitted to the Board in time for their next regular
meeting on January 13, 1998.
The Board will also be looking for the quarterly reports of meetings and members -
due at the end of March,June, September and December.

MEMORANDUM
TO: Volunteer Companies

SUBJECT: 1997 Annual Reports
Once again this year, the Board of Fire Commissioners is directing that each of the
volunteer companies submit a copy of its 1997 annual report submitted to New York
State detailing the company's use of 2% money, as well as a report detailing the
company's use of its 1997 allocation of city funds.
Please submit your company's reports no later than Monday, March 9, the day
before the March Board of Fire Commissioners meeting. As in the past, submission of
these reports is required before the company's 1998 city allocation will be awarded.
A copy of the report form for city money is attached. Please note this form has been
updated from that used in past years. (You may recall that the new form was
developed as part of the volunteer company contract process.) You should have
already received the forms required to make the 2% report to the state. These were
received from the Chamberlain's Office and distributed to the companies in November.
Please submit your company reports to me. I will make a copy for your company's file
and forward the original to the board.
