DATE: December 29, 2005
Enclosed is the form for filing the annual financial report with the State
Comptroller for receipt and use of foreign fire insurance tax proceeds (aka
2% funds).
As you know, the 2% funds you receive are a combination of City and Town of
Ithaca tax proceeds; therefore, please provide a copy to the Ithaca Fire
Department and the Town of Ithaca Budget Office (215 N. Tioga St.).
Please note the filing deadline is March 1, 2006.

RE: Annual NYS Comptroller's Report - 2005
Fire Insurance Tax Proceeds
Dear Brian:
Enclosed is the form for preparing and filing the Annual Financial Report of the
City of Ithaca Fire Department and Volunteer Fire Departments to be filed with
the NYS Comptroller's Office.
Each Fire Company, department, or benevolent association treasurer should
complete two (2) copies of the report. One (1) copy is to be filed with the State
Comptroller, and (1) copy should be kept on file as the City's official copy filed
with the City Clerk. I ask that a copy of the City's report and those of each
volunteer fire department be also forwarded to the Town of Ithaca Supervisor or
myself.
