Applicant Yellow Barn Solar, LLC, the entity seeking a siting permit
for the Project from the Office of Renewable Energy
Siting (ORES) under Section 94-c of the New York State
Executive Law.
Project The proposed 160 MW solar system to be constructed
for the collection and distribution of energy for the
Yellow Barn Solar Project, which includes solar arrays,
inverters, electric collection lines, and the collection
substation.

1(a) Applicant Information
The Applicant is Yellow Barn Solar, LLC (hereinafter referred to as the Applicant), an affiliate of
CS Energy Devco, LLC (CS Energy). For more than fifteen years, CS Energy has dedicated its efforts
to creating a green energy economy in the United States through construction and development
of renewable energy resources while building mutually beneficial relationships with the local
communities in which it operates.
The Applicant and its affiliates possess the technical expertise, financial resources, and
commitment to deliver this new 160-megawatt (MW) ground-mounted solar project, which will
provide an important contribution to meeting New York State goals for cutting greenhouse
gas emissions 80% by 2050, reaching 70% of electricity production from renewable energy
sources by 2030, building a more resilient energy system, and reaching net 100% carbon-free
electricity by 2040, in accordance with New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection
Act. With headquarters in Edison, New Jersey, CS Energy is a leading integrated energy company
that designs and builds optimized projects in the solar, storage, and emerging energy industries.
With more than 250 solar energy projects constructed across the United States totaling more
than 1.5 gigawatts, CS Energy is a highly reputable full-service renewable energy company.
