Region - Tompkin Co., N. Y.", made by Carl Crandall, C. E. dated April 1, 1936, revised January 11, 19372, and filed in the Tompkins County Clerk's Office January 21, 1937; running thence south 6 degrees east along the east line of Highgate Road (if 50 feet wide) as shown on the map entitled "Cayuga Heights Land Corp. - Map of Lots on The Parkway and Highgate Road, Town of Ithaca - Tompkins Co. - N. Y.", made by Carl Crandall, C.E., September 4, 1948, amended September 30, 1948 and filed October 2, 1948 in the Tompkins County Clerk's Office at 43.4 feet crossing a pipe, a total distance of 216.4 feet to another pipe to an angle with the proposed northeasterly line of The Parkway; run- ning thence north 84 degrees east 16 feet; thence north 6 degrees west parallel to and 16 feet easterly from the above described easterly lin of Highgate Road (if 50 feet wide) about 216 feet to the north line of • 1 • 11 0 1 0 1 � ear . 568 �kc.! 41 Military Lot 88; thence westerly along the north line of Lot 88 to the point or place of beginning. The north end of the above described str abuts the south end of the strip along the east line of Highgate Road (if 50 feet wide) described in a deed from Daniel Webster Carey, as Executor u/w Effie A. Allen, deceased, and Charles H. Newman, as . Executor u/w Jared T. Newman, deceased, to Town of Ithaca dated May 8, 1952. 4 The purpose hereof is that the width of Highgate Road shall be increased to 66 feet instead of its previous width of 50 feet. as tenant. This conveyance is made subject to any. -rights of Emily E. Day Reference is made to the conveyance to Cornell University from Cayuga Heights Land Corporation dated April 13, 1951 and recorded in the Tompkins County Clerk's Office in Liber 340 of Deeds at page 190 as to the northerly 43.4 feet of the above described deed and to the deed to Cornell University from Bertha Kline dated September 18, 1950 and recorded in said Clerk's Office in Liber 335 of Deeds at page 389. THIS CONVEYANCE is -made for the.purpose of confirming that an identical deed dated April 22, 1953 was delivered by Cornell Univer- sity to the Town of Ithaca,and accepted thereby, and was, for reasons unknown, not recorded in the Tompkins County Clerk's office and was lost or misplaced from the files of either the Town of Ithaca or the Village of Cayuga Heights, the successor municipality.
