BUDGET WORKSHOP
OCTOBER 20TH, 2008
PRESENT: Supervisor Douglas Austic ; Council David Kerness, Elizabeth Thomas and
Lucia Tyler; absent Rod Ferrentino ; Town Clerk Marsha L. Georgia.
Supervisor Austic called the meeting to order at 4 : 30 PM.
The following are changes made on the tentative 2009 budget.
* *Note — A copy of the original tentative 2009 budget is included in the Regular
Town Board meeting of October 14, 2008 for reference.
General Part Town Appropriations — B
Mr. Austic stated that in the General Part Town Appropriations — B fund he changed
B8010 . 11 — Deputy Zoning Officer PS $0 and increased Building Inspector PS back to
the original tentative budget of $28 ,422 . Mr. Austic explained his logic, which was that
Building Inspector PS is increasing because of Stormwater duties and no Deputy Zoning
Officer is currently employed, the Board approved.
Transfer to Reserve B9950. 9 renamed to Employee Reserve so that it is consistent with
the other funds .
General Part Town Revenues — B
No changes all remain the same as the tentative budget.
Highway Fund Appropriations — DA
No changes all remain the same as the tentative budget. The only thing Mr. Austic will
do is create some sub-accounts in DA5148 .4 to break out fuel, parts, and supplies to
make it better understanding for the Board during the year.
Highway Fund Revenues — DA
No changes all remain the same as the tentative budget.
Highway Part Town Appropriations — DB
Highway Maintenance CE DB5110. 4 increased from $40,000 to $ 50,000
Highway Part Town Revenues — DB
Sales Tax DB1120 increased from 191 , 101 to $201 , 101 -- because of
the $ 10, 000 increase in appropriations
No other changes were made to the rest of the budget. Mr. Austic will make the changes
that have been done. Mr. Austic said that the Board could move this budget, after
changes to the preliminary budget but the Board felt they did not want to do that at this
time. The Board will meet again on Wednesday October 29th, 2008 at 7 pm. This
meeting has already been advertised.
