LOCAL LAW NO. 16 OF THE YEAR 2009
A LOCAL LAW AMENDING CHAPTER 250 OF THE TOWN OF ITHACA CODE,
TITLED "VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC," TO PROHIBIT PARKING NORTH AND
WEST OF THE INTERSECTION OF TROY ROAD AND KING ROAD EAST
Be it enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca as follows:
Section 1. Pursuant to Section 130 of the Town Law of the State of New York, and
Section 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York, Chapter 250
(Vehicles and Traffic) of the Town of Ithaca Code, Section 250-16, titled "Parking of
vehicles", Subparagraph A, is hereby amended by adding new subdivisions (24) and (25)
reading as follows:
"(24) On both sides of Troy Road from the intersection of Troy Road with King
Road East to a point 1,500 feet north of the center line of King Road East.
(25) On the north side of King Road East from the intersection of King Road
East and Troy Road to a point 700 feet west of the center line of Troy
Road."
Section 2. In the event that any portion of this law is declared invalid by a court
of competent jurisdiction, the validity of the remaining portions shall not be affected by
such declaration of invalidity.
Section 3. This local law shall take effect ten days after publication of the local
law or an abstract of same in the official newspaper of the Town, or upon its filing with
the New York Secretary of State, whichever is the last to occur.
