Poelvoorde called the meeting to order at 7 : 13 p . m. Prior to starting the agenda with Ms . Baptiste of Bergmann Associates, the committee discussed the need for a clerk to take minutes of the committee meetings. The committee has not had a clerk for several months . Ms . Poelvoorde suggested it was the responsibility of the Town Board to provide a clerk. Ms . Thomas knows of a candidate and will suggest the person to the Board at the June meeting . Ms . Baptiste handed out and discussed the results of the "imaging" surveys that were conducted during the public workshops held in April, including the top 10 positive images, the bottom 10 negative images , and all 50 images with average ratings . Ms . Baptiste then began a discussion of the differences between the draft future land use plan (FLUP) , developed by the steering committee, and the consensus FLUP, resulting from the 10 work groups across the two public workshops in April . The criteria for adopting a change from the draft FLUP was that the change had to be recommended by at least 6 of the 10 public workshop groups . These consensus changes included the following : • Decreasing the proposed size of the Jacksonville mixed use zone • Adding historic hamlet status for Waterburg • Reducing the size of the Krum ' s Corners light industrial zone to the portion south of the Krum ' s Corners intersection with Rte . 96 . • Reducing the commercial along Rte . 96 just south of the village of Trumansburg to only the section north of Taughannock Falls State Park. • Extending village density development south to Rabbit Run Road and south of Auble ' s Mobile Home Park to the area where Rabbit Run Rd intersects with South Street. • Changing the status of the land east of the village of Trumansburg, from Duddleston Road extended north to the northern and northwestern boundaries of Taughannock Falls State Park to an agricultural zone. Ms . Baptiste then compared a third version of the FLUP developed by Bergmann Associates and compared the Bergman FLUP to the Consensus FLUP generated by the public workshop groups. For a list of recommended changes made by Bergmann Associates to the Consensus FLUP, see the attached sheet. After a lengthy discussion of the Bergman recommended changes to the Consensus FLUP, the committee discussed the timetable for completing the plan and the scheduling of the next public information meeting regarding the comprehensive plan. Three potential dates were discussed : June 30 or July 9 or 10, 2008 . The committee decided to meet again on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 7 : 00 P .M. to continue editing the objectives and action strategies the group had worked on throughout early May as a continuation of the regularly scheduled April meeting. The committee will also work on the FLUP further as it was getting late and Ms . Baptiste needed to leave. Ms . Thomas took responsibility for working with Dick Coogan, Deputy Supervisor to have the June 4th meeting publicized. Ms . Poelvoorde adjoined the meeting at 9 : 25 P .M . Respectfully submitted, Rod Hawkes, Committee Member 1 6
