HomeMy WebLinkAboutLL 1 of 1965 Public Notices for Local Laws j sir it 1965 - Local haw #1 A local law providing for public notices relating to adoption of local lams Be it enacted by the town board of the town of Ithaca as follows: Section 1. Tjo local law shall be adopted by the town board of the town of Ithaca until a public hearing has been held thereon, in its final form before such board not less than tj�rgp nor more than thirty days after public notice has been given of the time and place of the holding of such public hear- ing. Such notice shall be given by the town clerk by causing the same to be published once in the official newspaper of the town. Such notice shall contain the title of the proposed. local law and. a brief explanatory statement thereof. Section 2. The town dark shall cause to be printed or otherwise reproduced copies of such proposed local late and shall, not later than the clay such notice Is published, post one copy together with the notice of hearing in a conspicuous place in his office and shall also make copies of such proposed local law available at his office for inspection by and distribution to any interested person during business hours. Section 3. The town clerk shall forthwith upon the adoption of a local, law by the 'board post a copy thereof in a conspicuous place in his office and shall, within tern clays after such adopt- ion,�cause the local lave, or an abstract thereof describing the same in general terms, to be published in the official newspaper of the town. Section 4. Proof of publication of the notice of public hearing required by section one hereof and proof of the posting and publication required by section, three hereof shall be filed In the office of the town clerk. Section 5. Each local law shall be numbered consecutively beginning with number one for each calendar year. When a local, law is finally adopted, and certified copies thereof are required by section twenty-seven of the municipal home rule law to be filed, In the offices of the town clerk, the state comptroller and the secretary of state, the town clerk shall accordingly assign to such local law its appropriate number.
