Section I This local law is adopted pursuant to the authority of Sections 1660 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York and Section 10 of the Municipal Hage Rule Law of the State of New York. Section II This local law is adopted in order to minimize the adverse impact of traffic upon the ilonness Lane community and upon Honness Lane, and in order to promote the health, safety and welfare of such community. Section III No through traffic of any truck, ccnvercial vehicle, tractor, or tractor-trailer combination, weighing in excess of five (5) tons, shall be permitted on Honness Lane. M-(lf additional space is needed, Please attach sheets of the same size as this and number each)' P:,ve 1 Section IV A violation of this local law shall be a traffic infraction. Every person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this local law shall for a first conviction be punished by a fine of not more than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) or by imprisonment for not more than fifteen (15) days or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction within eighteen (18) months thereafter such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or by imprisonment for not more than Forty-Five (45) days or by both such fine and imprisonment; upon a third or subsequent conviction within eighteen (18) months after the first conviction such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) or by imprisonment of not more than ninety (90) days or by such fine and imprisonment. Section V Local deliveries and pick-ups to and from properties located on Honness Lane by vehicles otherwise prohibited from using said highways by the provisions of this law shall not be prohibited hereby. Section VI This local law shall be effective 10 days after its enactment or upon the later erection or posting of signs or markings giving notice of the restrictions contained herein. Section VII This local law shall not supersede, but shall be in addition, to any other local laws, state laws, or other laws governing truck traffic on Town roads including, without limitation, 1980 Local Law Number 2.
