Section 1. This Focal Law, is adopted pursuant to the authority
granted by Municipal Home Rule Law, Section 10 (1) (ii) (d) .(3).
Section 2. This Local Law supersedes Section 27, Subdivision 1 of the
Town law insofar as the same may prohibit canpensation of Planning
Board and Zoning Board members on a per meeting or per meeting
attended basis.
.Section 3. Notwithstanding any provision of the Town Law (including
Section 27, Subdivision 1) or any provision of any other general law
or local law, the Town Board of the•Town of Ithaca is authorized to
compensate the Town of Ithaca Planning Board members and the Town of
Ithaca Zoning Board of Appeals members on the basis of a stipend per
scheduled meeting or per meeting attended by such members.
Section 4. Nothing in this Local Law is intended to prohibit the Tann
Board of the Tawe of Ithaca from ccupensating said members on any
other basis permitted by law.
Section 5. This Local Law shall take effect immediately.
