LOCAL LAW NO. 21 OF THE YEAR 1992
A LOCAL LAWAMENDING LOCAL LAW NO. 4 OF THE YEAR 1992 REGARDING
ETHICS RULES APPLICABLE TO THE TOWN OF ITHACA OFFICERS AND
EMPLOYEES TO CLARIFY 911ALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP ON THE ETHICS
BOARD.
Be it enacted by 'the 'Town Board of the 'Town of Ithaca as
follows:

relating to revised Ethics ruleis applicable to Town of I'tha��,:a
officers and employees is amended by adding -to Section 11 ,
paragraph (d ) subparagraph ( ii ) after thie s,tatement "No Et[-Iics
Board member shall hold office in any political party" the
following:

for this purpose membership on a Town, County, State , or
national party committee shall not be deemed to be holding
office in a political party—"rovided, however, "that any person
who �hs a c�iii,airperson, "vice-chairperson, secretary, treasurer,
or the holder of any similar office in a Town , County, State,
or national party aammittee sivall be deemed to Jae holding
office in a political party. ''
Section 2 . If any provision of this law is held by a, crourt of
competent jurisdiction to be in,v,alid, t0at; decision shall riot
affect the validity and effectiveness of the remaining provisiowaw w�.,
