Discussion
• Speed limit reduction
o Send request to Syracuse. Ray to look for a letter we can model, edit and send to
NYSDOT. We should mention pedestrian safety, bike safety, we will have more
population very soon, a new restaurant is moving in, have good traffic study from
Lucente
o Discuss more at next meeting.
• Traffic Study update
o – Lucente did a very complete traffic study, Mike distributed
o Waiting to hear from DOT on the report, will be a few more weeks
• TCCC trail to Village
o Met with Pres. Of TC3, they don’t want the trail behind Lee Rd. Prefer town lands
from dorms down to town land, or Bahar Dr. TC3 doesn’t have funding to do it.
o Maybe would have to extend sidewalk to Bahar Dr. We would like to support TC3
decisions.
• Corner lot of Rt. 13 and Freeville Rd
o Brownfield owned by company in PA. Dan will call.
• Sidewalk planning
o Town mostly responsible on North Rd and Freeville Rd. Lucente has areas on North
Rd and Mott Rd. Town needs to figure out with property owners and property
agreements and requirements and willingness of owners.
o Village has Enterprise from Freeville Rd to Ellis Dr. Village may have 1180 feet.
o TAP Sidewalk grant could cover flashing light crosswalks at laundromat and by High
school.
o How to get landowners to pay, need grant funds to do it.
o Create 4 way stop at Lewis, Enterprise and Freeville Rd.
• Plans for next month (July 26, 2023)
o Speed limit
o Traffic Study
o Wait on trail for TC3 decision
o Continue sidewalk discussion
o Agreed on meeting time at 3pm, 4th Wednesdays.
o Safe Streets 4 All (SS4A) which involves a study of streets and to develop safety
action plans. Once we have that it could lead to more funding.
