HomeMy WebLinkAboutNSDTF 2023-06-28North Street Development Project Minutes – 6/28/23 Attendees: Ray Burger, Town of Dryden Dan Lamb, Town of Dryden Craig Anderson, Town of Dryden Mike Murphy, Village of Dryden Deb Fisher, Village of Dryden Leonardo Vargas-Mendez, Town of Dryden Chris Morrissey, Town of Dryden Craig Schutt, Town of Dryden Andrew Sullivan, Fingerlakes newspaper Joe Wilson, Community Vargas-Mendez moved to accept minutes from 5/23 meeting, 2nd by Murphy. Passed. Discussion • Speed limit reduction o Send request to Syracuse. Ray to look for a letter we can model, edit and send to NYSDOT. We should mention pedestrian safety, bike safety, we will have more population very soon, a new restaurant is moving in, have good traffic study from Lucente o Discuss more at next meeting. • Traffic Study update o – Lucente did a very complete traffic study, Mike distributed o Waiting to hear from DOT on the report, will be a few more weeks • TCCC trail to Village o Met with Pres. Of TC3, they don’t want the trail behind Lee Rd. Prefer town lands from dorms down to town land, or Bahar Dr. TC3 doesn’t have funding to do it. o Maybe would have to extend sidewalk to Bahar Dr. We would like to support TC3 decisions. • Corner lot of Rt. 13 and Freeville Rd o Brownfield owned by company in PA. Dan will call. • Sidewalk planning o Town mostly responsible on North Rd and Freeville Rd. Lucente has areas on North Rd and Mott Rd. Town needs to figure out with property owners and property agreements and requirements and willingness of owners. o Village has Enterprise from Freeville Rd to Ellis Dr. Village may have 1180 feet. o TAP Sidewalk grant could cover flashing light crosswalks at laundromat and by High school. o How to get landowners to pay, need grant funds to do it. o Create 4 way stop at Lewis, Enterprise and Freeville Rd. • Plans for next month (July 26, 2023) o Speed limit o Traffic Study o Wait on trail for TC3 decision o Continue sidewalk discussion o Agreed on meeting time at 3pm, 4th Wednesdays. o Safe Streets 4 All (SS4A) which involves a study of streets and to develop safety action plans. Once we have that it could lead to more funding. Submitted by Debbie Fisher
