Review and approval of minutes dated March 9, 2022. On motion made and seconded, minutes were unanimously approved as written. Cornell Design Connect Design Connect is a student-run, community design organization based at Cornell University. They are encouraging local municipalities in Upstate New York to participate in giving ideas for low-cost, viable designs and planning services. The Agricultural Advisory Committee would like to see another farmers market in Dryden. Or to ask the existing farmers markets how we can help to get more fresh fruits and vegetables on site. Right now it seems like they are selling more crafts than selling produce. Comments: • Looking into popup marketplaces and farmers markets to say open all year round. • Possibly putting an abattoir in the town because meat processers are dwindling. Most places are booked 1-2 years out. • You would think if this were a money maker, wouldn’t more people do it? There could be a lot of rules and regulations that come with owning or operating an abattoir. Workforce Housing A Beck said that affordable housing in Dryden would affect agriculture in a positive way and gave the example that two of his employees drive from Whitney Point to the farm everyday and they would move closer if they could find something more affordable. E Carpenter would like to get together with the Affordable Housing Committee and the Conservation Board to see if they and the Ag Committee can work together on this. There being no further business that meeting was adjourned at 7:45 PM Respectfully submitted, Emily Banwell
