HomeMy WebLinkAbout2022-06-06Meeting: Monday June 6th, 2022 at 5:30pm on Zoom Present: Nicole Koekebacker, Ellen Cramer, Debra Walsh, Sarah Ericksen Board liaison: Leonardo Vargas-Mendez (One seat open) Agenda and Discussion: Housekeeping 1.Approve and/or correct March,April,and May 2022 meeting minutes. a.March, April, May minutes approved. Elly will send PDFs to the deputy clerk. Responsibility/mission items 1.Interaction with the ToD Boards a.Board meeting report for May i.Debra attended and Nikki was already approved. b.Next up to attend: i.June 16 - Nikki ii.July 21 - Sarah iii.Aug 18 - Elly if Zoom available iv.Sept 15 - need volunteer 2.Local energy suppliers a.SIREN alert system - sent a couple of alerts for Borger Compressor Station in May b.Would be good to have a backup person, Nikki volunteered. 3.Disaster preparedness information dissemination a.Nikki tabled at the 6/4/22 Wellness Event at the McLean Firestation and handed out Disaster preparedness information for adults and children. Children info and flooding sheet were the most popular. b.Debra also passed out the handouts at the Freeville Farmers Market. 4.Shelters spreadsheet - Elly would like to work on the map of shelters. After some cleanup, she’d like to share it with the board. Leonardo and Nikki recommend possible connections: John Kiefer (Planning board), Ray Burger (Director of Planning). 5.Coordinate with other agencies (RC, TC) a.Nikki plans to talk to Geoff Dunn, Mike Stitley, and Pat Mason. 6.FEMA CERT program – Nikki eached out to Christina Davis, she will be recruiting and getting the word out about a restart. a.Leonardo asks about CERT and the HS. Nikki is very interested in a teen program, as is Mike Stitley. 7.Additional items? – June restart, plans going forward. a.Tompkins County Preparedness Fair - Nikki will attend.
