Special Meeting of the Ithaca Town Board
Friday, August 10, 2001 at 1:30 p.m.
Ithaca Town Hall, 215 North Tioga Street, Ithaca, New York
At a special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Ithaca, Tompkins County, New York
held at the Town Hall, 215 North Tioga Street, Ithaca, there were present:
PRESENT: Catherine Valentino, Supervisor; Carolyn Grigorov, Councilwoman; Ed Conley,
Councilman; Bill Lesser, Councilman; Tom Niederkorn, Councilman.
EXCUSED: Mary Russell, Councilwoman; David Klein, Councilman
PRESENT: Tee-Ann Hunter, Town Clerk; John Barney, Attorney for the Town
Call To Order: Supervisor Valentino called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m. and led the
assemblage in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Agenda Item No. 3 – Consider Approval of Bolton Points Warrants
Resolution No. 2001 – Bolton Points Warrants
WHEREAS, the following numbered vouchers for the Southern Cayuga Lake
Intermunicipal Water Commission have been presented to the governing Town Board for
approval of payment; and
WHEREAS, the said vouchers have been audited for payment by the said Town
Board; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the governing Town Board hereby authorizes the payment of the
said vouchers.
Voucher Numbers :
Operating Fund 152,975.93
1998 SCADA Capital Project 644.57
2001 Backup Electrical Power 3,853.09
MOVED: Supervisor Valentino
SECONDED: Councilwoman Grigorov
VOTE: Supervisor Valentino, aye; Councilwoman Grigorov, aye; Councilman Lesser, aye;
Councilman Niederkorn, aye. Councilman Conley not present for the vote. Motion Carried.
Agenda Item No. 4 – Appointment of Interim Town Supervisor
Supervisor Valentino – We have to consider appointment of an interim Deputy Supervisor

because Mary and I are both going to be away from tomorrow through the 15.
Resolution No. 2001-106 – Appointment of Interim Town Supervisor
WHEREAS, Supervisor Catherine Valentino and Deputy Supervisor Mary Russell will
be away from the Ithaca area from August 11, 2001 through August 15, 2001; and
WHEREAS, it is essential to have an individual available locally to act in their place;
and
WHEREAS, Carolyn Grigorov is a current member of the Ithaca Town Board; now
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that Carolyn Grigorov is hereby appointed Interim Deputy Supervisor
effective August 11, 2001 through end of day August 15, 2001.
MOVED: Councilman Niederkorn
SECONDED: Councilman Lesser
VOTE: Supervisor Valentino, aye; Councilwoman Grigorov, aye; Councilman Lesser, aye;
Councilman Niederkorn, aye. Councilman Conley not present for the vote. Motion Carried.

Election District Map
The Board was given copies of Town’s Election District Map with additional road/street
names in the Cayuga Heights area.
Agenda Item No. 5 – Consider Adjournment
On motion by Councilwoman Grigorov, seconded by Councilman Lesser, the meeting was
adjourned at 1:47 p.m.
