Re: Broadband Committee Meeting
Summary:
The following items were discussed during a Broadband Committee Meeting held on 1 April 2022.
1.Organizational Structure
a.Town Board - level of involvement
b.Broadband Committee - does the committee still want to keep regular meetings as we move into
operations?
i.Does the committee want to continue to meet bi-weekly or should that be made more
high level?
c.Authority Body - should there be a small group formed outside of the committee with limited
decision making power?
i.Recommendation would be a 3-4 person group having the authority to make decisions.
Hunt can assist with the day-to-day activities during the project and plan to transition in
the future.
d.Subcontractors
i.Customer Service, Billing, Customer Installation Contractor, will need to be overseen by
the Authority Body. Produce Bi-Weekly reports for the Authority Body.
ii.The Vendors, Equipment, Maintenance Contractors should be overseen by the
Broadband Committee.

a.Firewall – Windstream offers a virtual device service; we are also exploring other options.
i.CGNAT –Has not been procured, we are still looking at availability.
ii.OLT – Secured and ready for deployment.
iii.ONT – Secured and ready for deployment.
iv.Wireless – ordered, samples on-hand, waiting for equipment.
