The planning process will involve identifying land that should be protected where ag soils are prominent, the areas have open space value, farming is still viable and are under pressure for conversion to other land uses . The product of the process will be strategies to preserve, protect and enhance agricultural land uses in the Town. The maximum funding amount is $25 ,000, with a 25 % match. Of the 25 % match, 20% must be cash. The remainder can be in-kind . The program is funded through first-come, first-serve .
