Re: Broadband Committee Meeting
Summary:
The following items were discussed during a Broadband Committee Meeting held on 23 July 2021.
1. Financials
a. Review
b. Ryan is working through the business model to flesh these things out
2. Schedule Updates
a. Permit review with the DPW
I. the Village and Town attorneys are looking over these documents and should be able to
deliver their finding in a couple of weeks
b. Equipment supply chain concerns
i. Graybar has been diligently working to find fiber supplies and have found enough
Commscope outside plant fiber to complete P1 of our project
ii. Innerduct is the other critical item for the P1 and it looks like SU has about 65% of the
total needed in stock and Graybar should be able to provide the balance
3. RFP Updates
a. Equipment RFP responses have been received from Nokia, Calix, and Ciena
b. Interview reviews
L Ryan will be sending out some collected information and an updated Rubric
ii. There will be instructions for participants to add their thoughts
iii. We will resolve to have a decision by our next committee meeting

a. Strategy -we really should look at what this plan is moving forward. We are much closer to
beginning construction and should start talking about this plan.
b. Public Outreach for Village of Dryden
I. Hunt can compile
1. An email list from the survey data
2. A mailing list from the GIS data
ii. We should collect our survey data email responses and utilize the Town's existing Mail
Chimp service to send this out
iii. Ryan proposing a GIS Map to show folks where service is available or coming
iv. Ryan and team can work on some talking points to share with the community
v. As the project develops we may want to consider additional scope to provide some sort
of leave behind to be distributed from the Town Hall
5. Website
a. Recommendations or updates from the subcommittee
b. Implementation Strategy
i. Logo -
ii. What is the message that we want to convey to the Town
iii. This should be a priority as we need to provide a place where we can get information
about the project out to the community
6. Legal
a. Dryden's Utility Easement review Village Roads & Rail Trail
b. NYSEG Agreement
c. Properties — Town Hall, Pinckney Rd, Splitter cabinet in Freeville
