Review and approval of minutes dated April 14th, 2021 On motion made by M McRae, seconded by E Carpenter, minutes were unanimously approved as written. Town Newsletter: L Sparling suggested that the Ag Committee stick to a little blurb on what the Ag Committee did that month. In terms of an article, there can be a special issue about things that pertain to agriculture on a seasonal basis. M McRae suggested we take a couple of sentences out of the minutes each month to put in the newsletter. M McRae volunteered to put together the next insert for the newsletter. Town Website: At this point there is no one who is tasked with revamping the website. Until there is, the Board’s and Committees can think about what they would like to see on their webpage. HeatSmart: M McRae sent the committee a copy of an article that was in Tompkins Weekly on HeatSmart. The Town Board passed a resolution and are including the Ag Committee in the program. M McRae asked everyone to spread the word. She would like to reach people in Dryden who are struggling with not being able to tighten up their houses and to lower electricity bills. NYSERDA: S Foote reached out to NYSERDA but has not heard back yet. 4/14/2021 Planning Board Update: The Planning Board approved the Stretch Code in a vote 4-3. There may be a revote. It is going to the Town Board and they are talking about setting a public hearing for it. Stretch Code: The committee is going to write down questions they have for the Town Board regarding the Stretch Code. Some questions asked were; • If a farmstead is doing improvements, would they have to install provisions for an electric vehicle? • Is any of this retroactive? • How does this Stretch Code affect farms? S Foote volunteered to put some questions together for the Town Board and urged the committee to send him any more questions that they would like answered. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM. Respectfully submitted, Emily Banwell
