1. Approval of Minutes:
Minutes from June 21, 2016 were approved. Motion to approve by Mr. DePaolo, seconded by
Ms. Hunter.
2. Member Comments / Concerns: None

3. East Hill Water Study Draft Presentation:
Nick Hyde, Project Manager, presented his draft presentation looking at deficiencies in the
East Hill water service area. The study focused on Hungerford and Pine Tree water tank
zones in regard to daily pressure demands, fire flows, pipe sizes, Town and regulatory goals,
future demands, potential pressure/storage/fire flow improvements, and types of tanks
recommended. Discussion was held regarding Slaterville Road pressure levels and fire flows,
contingency plans/options, the Comprehensive Plan, and dead ends vs. looped systems. The
item will be presented to the Town Board for comments/decisions at the next Town Board
Meeting on August 22, 2016.
4. Recommendation for Cemetery Maintenance:
David George and Phyllis Baker presented a deed, Town Law, and a memo for
documentation indicating that the Town should be maintaining the Bostwick Road Cemetery
in regard to mowing. Mr. Schoch reported that we stopped mowing the cemetery about two
years ago and Mr. Weber reported that it was due to the cemetery not being a corporation.
There are existing liabilities in the form of woodchuck holes and unstable headstones. Mr.
Goodman will take the issue to the Town Attorney before recommending a resolution to the
Town Board to resume mowing.
5. NYSDOT Town Road Mileage Modifications:
Mr. Weber reported NYSDOT modified the Town’s CHIPS road mileage by .98 of a mile. He
will attempt to regain recognition of the reduced mileage (Halcyon Hill Road) by submitting the
Town’s Official Town Map with the Town Board resolution to NYSDOT.
6. East Hill Recreation Way Concern:
Mr. Weber referenced an email from two residents concerned about the rip rap placed in lieu
of fencing repairs due to possible safety issues. The Committee did not feel that replacing the
fence in kind was appropriate. Bill will respond to the residents.
8. Project Status:
Trumansburg Rd. Water Tank Replacement – The tank panels are half up. The fill process
should begin the middle of next week. The tank should be online around Labor Day, leaving
only site restoration to be completed.
Pine Tree Road Construction – The County project is moving along and appears to be
ahead of schedule by one week. The bridge is up and most of the paving and trail work is
done. The trail will be open in time for when students return.
Park Lane, Christopher and Sapsucker Water Mains - Christopher and Sapsucker Water
Main Replacements have been terminated and will be rebid for next year. The Contractor is
behind on the Park Lane contract and it is not possible to complete all three projects before
the end of construction season. The Park Lane Water Main should be completed before
Labor Day with testing, service connections, and final restoration to be completed by mid to
late September.
Pine Tree Backlot Sewer – Easements are currently being cleared.
