HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-10-17 - TB TOWN OF ULYSSES SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING BUDGET WORKSHOP OCTOBER 17 , 2006 Present : Supervisor Austic ; Town Council Roxanne Marino , Lucia Tyler and Don Ellis; Deputy Supervisor Richard Coogan and Town Clerk Marsha L. Georgia. Supervisor Austic called the meeting to order. Mr. Austic reviewed the fund balance and sales tax . Mr. Austic ' s thoughts are to fund capital and reserve accounts with sales tax and only raise taxes for operating expenses . Mr. Meeker had provided the Board with his plans for equipment replacement from 2006 to 2010. The Board discussed this in relationship to reserve accounts . The Board discussed the questions that they would like to ask at the interviews for attorneys. The Board decided to pay the next appointed Attorney an hourly rate, and to request that he or she attend the Regular monthly Town Board meetings starting at 8 pm, as well as attend public hearings, planning board and zoning board meetings when the Town Board feels it is necessary. The Board would like the attorney to establish a time that is set aside. each week for Town questions, and will review the Attorney contract in six months . Ms . Marino said that the Comprehensive Plan Committee is still waiting for responses from the Board on the draft survey. Hearing no further business the meeting was adjourned .
