February 11, 2022

CALL TO ORDER:
Ms. Olson called the meeting to order at 8:01am.
ATTENDANCE:
TOWN OFFICIALS PRESENT:
Supervisor- Katelin Olson
Board members- Michael Boggs, Rich Goldman, Mary Bouchard
Town Clerk- Carissa Parlato
OTHERS:
Roxanne Marino, Linda Liddle
APPROVAL OF AGENDA:
Mr. Boggs moved to approve the agenda for Feb. 11, 2022 with the addition of announcements,
specifically the Planner vacancy. This was seconded by Ms. Bouchard and passed unanimously.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Ms. Olson shared the following information:
• Mask policy: NYS has repealed the policy but has allowed counties, businesses, and other agencies to
continue. Tompkins County is still encouraging masks so the town is following that. The health dept.
has indicated that cases are on the decline so this may only last a few more weeks.
• Planning update: Ms. Olson and Mr. Goldman interviewed an applicant yesterday and feel that this
person is a strong candidate. Ms. Olson will contact folks regarding a special meeting on Monday for a
possible appointment.
OLD BUSINESS:
TOWN BOARD VACANCY:
Mr. Boggs:
Liked the process and public input and had two great candidates. Thinks Mr. Myers would be a good applicant
for the planning board and Ms. Marino is best candidate for the town board based on her experience and the
shortness of the appointment. She will be able to jump right in.
Ms. Bouchard:
Feels that both were strong candidates but based on her experience working with Ms. Marino, she believes
that she is a good match for the board seat.
Mr. Goldman:
Also can’t overlook Ms. Marino’s work ethic, experiences, and knowledge and supports her.
Ms.Olson:
Supports Mr. Myers. She expressed concerns on how the zoning update was handled by Ms. Marino. She
noted that she is newer than others to town workings but has concerns about excluding others with different
opinions and believes Mr. Myers to have a stronger interpersonal skill set.
APPOINTMENT TO FILL TOWN BOARD VACANCY
RESOLUTION 2022- APPOINTMENT TO FILL TOWN BOARD VACANCY
Resolved that the Ulysses Town Board appoint Roxanne Marino to fill a vacancy on the Town Board
through Dec. 31, 2022.

Vote: 3-1
Date Adopted: 2/11/22
ADJOURN
Mr. Goldman made a move to adjourn at 8:19am. This was seconded by Ms. Bouchard and passed
unanimously.
