PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING
DRAFT ZONING LAW
AUGUST 16, 2005
PRESENT : Supervisor Doug Austic , Town Councilpeople Lee Scott, Robert Weatherby;
and Don Ellis ; Roxanne Marino absent; Town Clerk Marsha Georgia; Deputy Supervisor

Others Present : Richard Berggren and Randy Smith
Supervisor Austic called the Informational Meeting to order at 7 : 05 PM .
Mr. Berggren asked what the purpose of the meeting tonight was for and if there had
been any changes since the Public Hearing?
Mr. Austic said that residents came in from Waterburg area that was zoned as a Hamlet
District similar to Jacksonville. They were concerned about having business allowed and
they wanted a special high density residential . What the Town Board did was to re-create
the Residential Hamlet District that was thought about prior to that which is basically a
residential hamlet district, which would allow for the smaller lots that are there, allows
for things to happen like bed and breakfasts but it does not allow a commercial type
business.
That was basically the only thing other than some clarifications .
Mr. Berggren asked if lot sizes were changed?
Mr. Austic said that all of the residents in Waterburg were notified after this change and
they were asked to make comments . No comments have been heard .
Mr. Berggren asked about flag lots ?
Mr. Austic explained the flag lots .
Mr. Berggren had a couple of questions in reference to his property on Perry City Road
and the water district that did not relate to the Zoning Law.
Mr. Austic answered his question on the water.
Mr. Berggren was provided a copy of the Draft Zoning Law and the charts that go with it.
Mr. Smith had no questions and was also provided a copy of the law .
Hearing no further questions or comments from the public, Mr. Ellis moved, seconded by
Mr. Weatherby to close the informational meeting .
Unanimously approved, hearing was adjourned at 7 : 35 PM
