HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-04-26-STB, ZONING TOWN OF ULYSSES SPECIAL BOARD MEETING REVIEW ZONING/SUBDIVISION APRIL 26, 2005 PRESENT : Supervisor Doug Austic , Town Councilpeople Robert Weatherby; Roxanne Marino and Don Ellis ; Lee Scott absent; Town Clerk Marsha Georgia; Bruce Wilson Attorney. Supervisor Austic called the meeting to order at 6 : 30 PM . Note : These minutes reflect the changes made to the law. The Town Board discussions are available by listening to the tapes on file. Mr. Coogan was not available to make the changes to the electronic document. With the review of the Attorney Bruce Wilson and the Town Board the following changes were made to the draft Zoning Law . Article III - Administration 3 . 1 Board of Zoning Appeals 3 . 1 . 1 Establishment 3rd paragraph — change 267 -9 to 267 (2) — delete by ordinance or local law — insert Town in front of Board. 7th paragraph — change 267 - a to 267 (b) 8th paragraph — change 267 -a to 267 (a) Note : check this out throughout the document. 3 . 3 Planning Board 4th paragraph — insert Town before Board and delete by ordinance or local law 1st paragraph — make 3 . 5 . 1 2nd paragraph — make 3 . 5 . 2 3rd paragraph — make 3 . 5 . 3 Do the same in 3 . 6 3 . 7 — Delete and move Article II — Application and make it 2 . 16 Article IV - Definitions Note : a definition is needed for Right-of Way and Highway Right-of Way Glare — change a viewer' s to the viewer' s Article VIII - R2 - Moderate-Density Residence District 8 . 5 Uses Allowed by Special Permit 1st sentence —Delete the Board of Zoning Appeals Article IX - Multiple-Residence District 9 . 2 Establishment Special Town Board 2 04/26/2005 Delete — or in an area the Town served by public water and change to — of the Town that is served by public water, and shall be established Article XV —; Development Districts Note : Bold and make larger font for 15 . 3 Establishment and 15 . 3 Existing Development Districts The Board had no further changes . Public Hearing The Board decided that the draft zoning and subdivision laws were ready for a public hearing. The, Town Clerk will check to see the availability of one of the auditoriums at Trumansburg Central School . The Board said that they would like to hold the Hearing on May 31 , 2005 . If that the school cannot provide space on that date then either June 1st or June 2nd would be okay. The time of the public hearing was set for 7 : 00 PM . Mrs. Georgia will contact several firms to find the best price on the duplication of the document. The Board discussed the distribution of copies of the combined Zoning and Subdivision Laws and for displaying the zoning Map around the Town . During the discussion it was suggested that copies be placed in Jacksonville and Trumansburg Post Offices, the Village Hall , Trumansburg Shur-Save and the Big M. Mr. Ellis offered to check to see if these places would allow display of the Zoning Map . Mrs . Georgia will check with George Frantz about having eight ( 8) copies of the map printed 24 inches x 36 inches . The Board scheduled the next meeting for Tuesday May 3rd at 6 : 30 PM .
